Unlocking Development Potential

Dumping Rubble

Brownfield programs identify and evaluate potential sites, unlocking development potential in distressed areas. East Central Florida RPC's Brownfield Redevelopment Initiative focuses on transforming distressed sites into thriving community assets through environmental assessments and remediation. With support from the Environmental Protection Agency, the ECFRPC identifies potential brownfield sites, conducts site evaluations, and facilitates community engagement to drive economic revitalization. Projects include "The Compound," a large undeveloped area in Palm Bay, into a vibrant, sustainable hub for recreation, business, and residential growth.
